Anyone have experience with drawing tablets?

I am looking for a entry level tablet and a few friends said there were some talented people who draw on this forum.

I used to own a wacom bamboo before it was stolen from me years back and I am wanting to get back into drawing. I saw the monoprice tablets and from the reviews I've watched/read they seem like a decent tablet that competes with wacom specs wise and performance/price wise.

I am thinking about getting the 10"x6.25" active area tablet (50$) but I was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with them or have general tips for looking for a good tablet.

From what I've read these tablets have good driver support for osx and windows and some users of wacom intuos tablets actually switched over to them.

TL;DR:
Anyone used the monoprice tablets or heard anything about them. Also which size should I purchase as I have funds to go up to their 12"x10" active area size 1024 pressure level (94$), but the 10"x6.25" 2048 pressure level tablet (50$) seems more reasonable. I use a 23" monitor on my desktop if that makes a difference.

As far as i know, most people tend to side with a wacom intuos or the bamboo.
