I made a sig (first one in forever and first for jsp) and the file size is too big, and I don't know how I can make it smaller.
I merged the layers and copied the remaining one, then I pasted it into a new image. I saved for web and devices.
The file size is still 103 kb, and of course needs to be 70 kb or less.

Anything I can do about this?
Are there any websites or anything that compress .png files without losing the transparency?

If I save as jpeg it will lose the transparency. The background becomes white instead of transparent.
That makes a huge difference.

use a posterize adjustment layer
or just save as png-8 instead of 24, that should work too

I didn't want to save as png-8, as it reduced the quality and made it seem as if I added a noise filter, but the posterize adjustment layer worked.
Only reduced quality a little and greatly reduced file size.
