ITT I will be posting my practice work and hopefully will get any critique that you have to offer, constructive criticism is what im looking for :) any opinions be it good or bad would be nice.

Short introduction about myself
I used to do a little bit of graphic work when I was 12 or 13, but now I am about to turn 18 and looking to get back into things after being away from it for so long.
I have taken a few high-school graphic courses and i have basic knowledge of Photoshop but I would like to improve and hopefully get to the point where I could make some money or Forum gold off of things!
all in all i really enjoy making signatures and other things, as well as learning new tricks in Photoshop and everything to do with graphic design. I don't claim to be good!

First off good luck m8. If you have any questions about Photoshop or Illustrator feel free to PM me at any time and I'll try and help.

regarding your image:
The placement and size of the girl is good.
I think you should try and work on your background flow and the blending of the image in general.

Try and think of the feeling you want to have to the sig and look at different tutorials for creating different backgrounds, styles and blending.

Color flow is nice and I think if you nail the background and the blending in general it could look kick-ass.

keep posting em!

I would recommend going to Deviantart and looking for different Tutorials... you can find excellent ones there and learn different techniques.

Just like everyone who starts making signatures. Tutorials and practice :) And don't be afraid to try different things, and you don't need to follow tutorials exactly. Throw in some details on your own.

This was a big help to me, I really liked ~beintelligent's tuts.

Also found these 2 gems when searching google :)

Part 1: http://emillionforum.com/Thread-alex-s-gfx-guide
Part 2: http://emillionforum.com/Thread-alex-s-gfx-guide-part-2

Good luck!

/e Check some text tutorials or make a subtle text or just don't even add it :)

This. No one gonna steal that anyway.

Another tip would prolli be to learn use the BASIC Tools as good as possible and not jump into c4d and stuffs like that.
Basic Tools such as the pencil/pen, pentool, smudge tool etc etc.
Start basic.
