I can upload to tinypic or imgur but cant get it to link to jsp
what am I missing?

use the direct link to the image
depending on where you want to insert it, you will need to use the IMG tags (unless it's for avatar, profile pic, or profile background)
just click the icon with the mountains and sun: and paste your image link in between them

right mouseclick on the picture in the imigur website, then select: copy image URL

then go back to your post and use the image button making it look something like:
