Is there anyway i can get a video into frames?
So my phone captures 30fps, how can i get 300pictures from a 10sec movie? hope that makes sense..

you can use a later version of photoshop if you can get one
i don't know of much else

use vlc
run this command in cmd prompt, cd to your folder that contains vlc.exe first though (ex.. cd c:\program files\videolan\vlc)
vlc.exe "c:\path\to\video.avi" –video-filter=scene –vout=dummy –scene-ratio=1 –scene-path=C:\images\ vlc://quit

Photoshop can open .gif and a few other video formats and let you see each frame. It's how I made my avatar. I cut a scene from a music video I pulled off of youtube.

Go out to the ocean and find some pirates at sea. Ask them about Sony Vegas, it can view frame by frame and you can save the frame.
