they're far too chaotic, too high of contrast, and monotone
your current is better but still lacks flow, depth, lighting, and is fairly monotone
read tuts, you definitely have some potential

chaotic was expected, that's what i was going for. i thought the contrast wasn't that bad. i understand that the first one is monotone, but the second one too?
my current is a rotator with 40+ sigs >.<
do you have any recommendations for tuts?

Chaotic != slapping a bunch of stuff on and making it ultra bright. There's still a lot of things that need to be done to make it look any good.

just too bright overall with any depth to it, you don't feel like there's any foreground or background

no borders make it blend with the site and i don't like that.

Overall try to read a little more before you go at it and I don't mean it in a bad way, if you enjoy it, keep reading!

recently started experimenting with smudge brushes/settings on cs2. ps elements only had basic smudge.





this one i had to render myself. first time rendering something with pen tool in a long time. ps elements has no pen tool, so i had to use the eraser for rendering a few things before <_<

Sane has some really good smudge tutorials, maybe someone else can supply the link?

Other than that, doesn't look like you read the tutorials I linked.

i can find sane's tuts pretty easy... i mean, there's a link to his account on the main page, and the links are in his photo gallery.

other than that, some of the tuts in your link need to be re-uploaded. i'm not gonna strain my eyes on tuts that shrunk.
a lot of them are downloads, and i don't feel like downloading 20 things. i'm assuming the psd's are just the layers used to make the sigs?
i did read through a couple tuts, but i never tried going through the process they went through in the tut. i might do that later.

Just read the first 3 or 4. You don't even have to do them, as they are mostly theoretical.
