Its pretty hard to " glaze " with acrylic, which is what I will do once this underpainting dries. You can do this though, as it will help with establishing the values and original shapes/composition.

Grisaille is the technique.

You can really push the values with this technique. Since you build up using multiple layers, and glazing creates a darker color, its very efficient.
