some reason big version seems softer idk why. couldnt think of any effects so i drew cut lines. also iso tutorials

The 90 degree clipping masks aren't helping you

yea i kinda dislike them as well, but it seemed to bland without them. maybe ill figure something out to replace them

the left side is plain
render is bright, and so many white/grey specks... makes everything look dirty
not sure if you slapped on nebula stocks. don't use them anymore... most of the time they just ruin the raw quality of peoples work if not used properly

too much contrast, your effects are not bad but colors need some work. looks like the original render had some blue/cyan/purple tones in the eye and maybe some other places, so you could have done something with the CMYK-style themes.

yea i used nebula stocks in this one and i notice what you mean about the white grey specks

the original render was cyan/green and the contrast on it was very high to begin with.

i think ill just crop it, tweak the contrast a bit, and save it/start over with a new render.
