so i picked up a boat today from a friend.. this boat has been passed around and around.
no one seems to want to put the effort forth.. for this diamond in the rough.
I picked it up for next to nothing hoping my knowledge in restoration would suffice.
ill track my progress and explain what I did as I go, for those who are interested.

heres what it looked like when I got it.

What needs to be done?

-CLEANING CLEANING CLEANING its so dirty.

-complete rewire (my brother will be doing this, as he is amazing with anything electronic)

-dismantle and clean the outboard motor ( I was told the motor runs... ill take pictures of the insides later....they are surprisingly in great shape compared to the boat itself)

-pull up the wood flooring under the blue epoxy-tarp idiot patch.

-fill any cracks or weakspots with fiberglass/resin or marine-tex (boat bondo)

-completely replace the wood flooring and seal the edges (im also going to give it a coat of poly-urethane for extra water resistance)

-dismantle the steering and throttle controls and clean them (or paint if necessary)

-completely sand the paint below the waterline and repaint it with the appropriate epoxy based paint. ( gelcoating is just a little to expensive)

-install marine carpeting the length of the boat, probably grey and black.. im not sure on colors.

-sand down/bondo-resin/repaint anything that needs it.

-bolt down my two brand new boat seats that have been sitting around forever

-buy a gas tank and siphon hose

This isnt my first rodeo with restoration... but it is my first boat restoration
I figured it would be a neat progress topic, if anyone cares.
Just an estimate.. total cost to restore = <$400 usd (of course this can go up or down)

Feel free to suggest colors schemes though :)

I have power washer. Taking a power washer to this boat could put a hole in it.
sometimes its better to use a little elbow grease.
The "mold" on the inside isnt mold, thats the really old paint flaking with algae stains... if thats what you were referring to
remember its fiberglass, not wood or metal.
