I just got my fifth tattoo, its a large piece on my right shoulder blade.

Its one week to the day since I got it, it didn't scab one bit, my artist has a really light-hand.

Its been peeling a lot, and itches worse than chicken pox, and its torturous, lmao.

But my question is, can I sleep on my back now and not risk anything? This is my first tattoo on my back / torso, so its a bit different.

I'm out of work on a medical for another week, so I've just been walking around with no shirt on, because anyone with tattoos knows that they stick to your clothes badly with the lotion put on them.

So does anyone know, is it safe to sleep on my back now?

you'll be fine, just sleep in a loose fitting cotton shirt, and make sure to rub in VERY WELL plenty of un-scented lotion (i use lubriderm) so it stays hydrated.

I use Aveeno ( it smells like sun-screen and im starting to hate ) . I used to use Lubriderm, someone threw my shit out lmao.

My only problem with that is that I go crazy when I sleep, toss, turn, etc. And it always sticks to me ... Its almost heal'd though so I guess Im alright. Thanks guys
