Have a user our company manages having an issue with one illustration she created from scratch saved on her private drive at work. Sometimes when she works on it and goes to save it won't save saying she doesn't have the proper permissions/rights to edit the file, if she then closes without saving and tries to reopen it doesn't allow her to open it. No one else is accessing the file at the time, just wondering if any of you guys ahve run into this issue. On Windows 7.

just save the file with another name, should be good.

Ya .ai is there any fix around saving as a new name? I've googled this and apparently it's been an issue for a while?
