Starting out with shattered tut's, but I can't get the shperes down. When I am transitioning from dark to light, the second lighter stroke goes over the edge of the darker stroke maker part of the darker area too dark and gives it a wierd look. I thought I have all the right settings on, anyone can point out what I am doing wrong?

I have some DECENT spheres, but I am definitely doing something wrong here

its because of the opacity when you use a tablet, it depends on pressure
use different shades and colour pick by using ALt

K will do that, yeah my better spheres are a result of using ALT to change up the colors, that one there was with only one color trying to only use my tablets pressure

the shadow should be behind, not to left cause of light
and you need more shading
try using a lower opacity hard or soft brush

Yeah I noticed the shadow was defintly off from my light source. I am just going to grab one of my billiard balls and draw that from different angles for a while

Yeah was using 100% opacity for that, will try what, 70 sound good?

pushing the contrast means making the darks darker and the highlights lighter
have on dominant lightsource, and make it really bright
never use complete white (#FFFFFF) or black (#000000) though
