So i have a range of pencils from F to 8B excluding the soft/medium charcoal and charcoal pencisl. I was curious to if you or anyone on here has any links to drawing tutorials shading, portrait drawings etc.

what do you want to know?

just start drawing

find a reference, draw

keep posting in your thread, draw some with pencils and scan it in and ill critique from there

compare values, always compare ( is this part darker than this? what highlight is brighter ) etc etc... then vary your pencils that way

Also remember. Draw gradients, not lines. Things almost never have a solid line describe their shape.

with your pencil, click and hold down and then select the gradient tool on your paper
