Hmm.. well whats the best size to use so everyone can see it? like.. how do people get it custom made where it looks good on everyones screen

just make it hella huge so it doesnt get cropped out on bigger resolution

Profile backgrounds are restricted to a maximum of 500KB. There's no pixel limitation though.

funny, though there is no limit to what you can fill your profile with.
