is there a site that I can display my paintings + digital work, doesnt even have to be for a portfolio

i know about blogspot but the way they have it is kind of hard to have it organized


I have the DA portfolio thing but they only allow a certain amount of images

for a real portfolio, i mean book printed type online, i think issuu.com is one of the most used.

so that he can create a crappy site? the selfmade basic html/css sites usually look horrible.
not because of the basic html/css, but mainly because people do not know what they should do and what they should not do when creating a site.


if you want your own domain, use one of the available gallery scripts, there are many free ones around.

just because someone is good at graphic design it does not mean he will be good at creating a simple website.
a portfolio is probably simple, but it can be quite complex, depending on the what he needs and wants.

for example a simple dropdown menu is really hard if you know basic html and css only.

now if he wants it more comfortable, he will probably have to go for php and javascript.
an html form for upload is more comfortable than uploading it via ftp client and then updating 5 html files just to include 1 more picture.
many nice looking gallery scripts also include some kind of slideshow - if he wants that, he has to learn javascript too.

it's simply not worth the effort since there are enough good gallery scripts around which provide all the nice features i mentioned.
