Trying to relearn photoshop after years of going without

this seems too be a popular topic on other forums yet the answer has yet been given if there is one

when selecting smudge tool on cs7 and going too brush effects, you can do shape dynamics but the scattering option is greyed out, is there a new way for the "spattered" smudge look other than brushes, or is there something you have too do/change in order too have that option available

You created it you should know how to use it.

Might want to watch the copyright though, adobe doesn't play nice with others.

that is indeed quite odd, although I've had weird glitches like this happen to me before, usually restarting photoshop fixes it

it appears scattering on the smudge tool isn't an option in ps7, if you want that option you will have to upgrade
