I'm not digging the border anymore. (I did a few gradients after making it so its discolored)

My smudges are too straight IMO.

Anything else to hit me with?

to mono needs more colors

and try experimenting on values on your brush for smudging

It has been nearly 1 year and a half since i even used gmaps for anything

/e
try to make a guide outline where you think the flow is so it will make it easier
just to avoid straightness. that helped a lot me when i first started smudging.

Gmaps can be used to great effect and not something that should be avoided, that being said I do agree they are to strong in his sigs.

gmaps is good when used properly. I am no pro on any of this but I think gmaps takes a lot
away from learning about colors and appreciating colors. Im still not good at it.
overall i think gradient maps shouldn't be overused. im terrible at explaining things :bonk:

I agree 100%. You should pick your colors so that they compliment your focal. That way you have no need for color-changing adjustment layers. Of course selective color, color balance and gmaps can be used to enhance the colors, but OP pretty much drowned his signature with horrible gmaps on way too high opacity %. I usually just use 'exposure' on my tags and it has been working for me.
