I know that's not what he meant, but in my opinion, they look better than in the original, so I just quickly switched something. (and I'm not being a dick, I understand what you are saying)

Other than colors being a bit much and the purple, I'd lower the sharpness of the background a little, and Add some more smudge details, atm its kinda plain. Not terrible though. KIU.

Is it supposed to be finished? Looks like a very early WIP to me.

The smudging is sloppily done and the choice of a render was bad right from the start. (LQ Tag)
It also lacks colors (monotone bg & fg) and has way too much pure black in it.
As a general rule you should avoid using pure/close to pure black.
