Oh, it's normal it's not a final render just the pre-compositing, layers are superimposed one above the other layer as photoshop and rule on all this.
but basically to explain it was a setup automatic, since for each scene are the same layers who realized. (ex: Occlusion , Fur, Color, BG (other precomp), Shadows (in render for all scene left and right and the director can switch if he needs the light in other direction)...
But after this we have scene after scene for make more nice details and render.
