I have absolutely no idea where to start. I would probably be looking for something around 2k. I just don't want to have to replace parts every year.

Taking that you value reliability a little more then percent more performance at cost of it. At 2 grand, you can get something. You are going to spend that all on tower or monitor and new peripherals also?

for 2k you can get my computer and a nice benq

That's just what I'm comfortable putting out for a tower that's ideal for what I need. I'm not going to need top specs in every area just something that will allow me a full game experience and possible the ability to record/stream down the road. Like I said I have no idea where to start so I need to be pointed in the right direction to research on my own so I know which questions to ask.

I'm probably the most computer illerate gamer I've come across.
