Hate the colours.
Looks nothing like the tutorial.

Yeah i just used the techniques he described, but i definitely didn't follow it very closely. I'll try to work on colors more, but i'm starting to feel like im colorblind at this point.

Don't go beyond the tuts unless your have more experience with different techniques.

Ofc you can change certain aspects of tutorials to fit your signature (colors etc) but most of the time when you are starting out you want to follow the tutorials really closely.

I do this LOL. I even use layer masks for nearly everything and have a lot of "backup" techniques, but i'm just bad at composition.

Not too sure about this cause sometimes, i just never feel satisfied with just the tut. But then again, i'm not a very good judge of tags LOL.

That can't be a good thing...
Download some psd files from deviantart, there's plenty of sig packs on there. That might help.

Will do. I also think i should try looking at video tuts more often cause they definitely help me see things a lot better.

Do you know what looks good to the eye and what doesn't? There are certain colors that go together and there are some that just don't.

Don't think so apparently. LOL. I probably have terrible judgement on colors and composition and that might be hurting me a lot.
