any crits on mine TRM? i'd like to improve in my brushing, surprisingly I like this a lot compared to the other methods of tagging, not really sure why it's tedious, and a pain in the ass

Most good signatures are tedious and difficult.
Yours you skipped the sharpen step.
Smudging is decent, but still needs alot of work, keep practicing.
Elbows are a bad place to smudge the stock, as they would be the closest thing in the foreground. Screws up the depth quite a bit. I would blend in portions of her torso (T-Shirt?) possibly.
The colors are very bland, like I said before.. try using similar or ( analogous ) colors.
The smudging is leading in every possible direction away from the stock, there is no flow here. Its okay to branch off from the direct flow here and there.. but first you need flow.
You seem to understand a little bit of the tutorial, but you completely negated the design basics.
Scrap and try again would be my advice.

tyvm, i think i'll try some edits since almost everything is it's own layer so it shouldn't be extremely hard to work with what you gave me, tyvm :)
i didn't skip the sharpen step btw, if i sharpen it again it looks really overshapened, even with just sections sharpened, but ill play with it !

e/

now that I look at it more i'll still have to rearrage all of the flow of the brushing so i guess i will scrap and restart

The effects look nifty, render looks over-contrasted though

Your style closest resembles the tutorial imo, tis nice.

I cant get this shit, its ridiculously hard for me to smudge with a round brush. What size is everyone using in the beginning steps? 25-30 px seems too big.

Thats sweet, wish the render was different though.
