use darker grey for the inside line of the eyelid, then a lighter 2-3 shades to build an eyelid shape around the darker, inner-eyelid, then you can use the same dark grey for the eyelids

here's the scaled up version of the smaller eye i did, so you can see the details a little better.

sorry it's so sloppy, but you get the idea.

Hmm okay yeah maybe I could work with 2 shades, use the other shade for shading around the face as well. Don't know what to do with the hair though. Probably get to work on this tomorrow or something.

5 hours in.

eyes need more work, just started earrings and I think I might remove them.

Plan on adding a necklace type thing to cover up that chest area.  LMK any suggestions or tips n what not, really appreciate it m89

clean up the linework on your pathing and don't use brushing to cover up mistakes

for now, i'd try to use a lot of layers to build a smooth gradient for all your shading before you try to stylize it with one or two layers.

I didnt use any brushing to cover up. Some of the original outline I havent completely masked over yet, might be very light and look brushed, but it will be erased.

As for the linework, does it look better when the weight is all even and the same, or with variation in line-weight?

if you have variation, keep it consistent

the line on the left is good, the line on the right is bad; it all comes back to using as few anchors as possible to form a curve.
