I disagree on both parts. Ultra realism is boring to me, i don't blame anyone and i adore the talent to mimic it to full extent, but it lacks imagination and personal touch. I don't get the artist vibe from those pieces. Message, yes. Feeling and vibe, no, at least not in paintings.

If nonobjective/subjective art can make me feel, than it is most certainly not boring in my book
