People don't need to act that way. You don't need a scape goat for lacking skills. "I'm bad because I haven't shopped in a year." Maybe you just don't have any skills? I know I have hardly any artistic skills, but I know a good piece of art when I see it.

I am connecting this to past experiences with the Rubik's Cube. I used to carry one with me at all times and do it when I was bored. So many people claimed to have done it "once before, while I was just fucking around with it for hours. Could never do it again." It's obviously bullshit, you don't just forget your skills. Who forgets how to ride a bike? It makes sense for you to be rusty, or have no groove, or some shit, but not like you can't make a good peice.
