they did that so you strain your eyes trying to read about their product, so you trick yourself into thinking you actually strain your eyes while you're playing video games

While this may be true, they are amazing glasses. I have used my friends pair a couple times to try them out and really really tested the, like 10 hours playing computer games straight. My eyes usually get all bloodshot and ichy/dry after about 4 hours of gaming, after 10 hours my eyes were still white and I didn't even notice stress.
It also enhances the image, almost like it magnifies and sharpens it. I know the yellow has something to do with it but there's definitely something else to them. So as a note, yes, you can take them seriously, but only if you really do spend 4-8+ hours in front of a computer screen focusing on points of the screen. If you just play games an hour or two a day you will notice the enhancement but you probably won't notice the strain reduction on your eyes.
I wish I could use them at work but the yellow tint would make designing a pain in the ass :\
