Using that technique im making this.
Its not finished yet, I just wanted to maybe get some type of guidance for it.

I'm bad :/ Smudging is definitely not my best quality.. None of the C4D's I have really go well to smudge then use for detailing. And cant seem to find any really good ones.. If anyone has a few good ones feel free to send them my way. Or any other Resources for that matter.

I actually like yours more than mine

Cnc:

- The only colors you've added are dull and done via softbrushing - no!
- Huge white supernova behind the render - no!
- shadowing at every border of the tag? come on you can't be serious.
- oversharpened
- looks like a grunge tag

Told you, practice this kind of smudging before using it in tags. Currently you're far away from the tutorial outcome.




If you need c4ds, download c4d packs @ deviantart.

As for cnc:
- monotone
- light source is too strong
- render needs blending and is oversaturated
- way too many particles and bubble c4ds
- the flow isn't perfect, but a lot better than in your first tag.

Just keep trying.

Just one question.
How do you add the colors if not by soft brushing?
Ill keep practicing the smudge technique, Im just wondering how I should add color once im ready.

Did you even open a single psd file of the pack I've sent you?

Yes I have
I've opened all the psd's
I dont really learn that much when I cant quite tell how the person even did the layer.
I learn better with tutorials than I do with psd's.
But I am trying to learn from them. Everytime I open Photoshop I study a psd the whole time im on.
