:O ?

lol malcomsex and I are going to create something quite spectacular in our collab, it seems.

I like the colours, your skin tones are always strange though. Don't be afraid to use those greens and blues

ya, im really trying to push my colors and stuff... if you look in the previous page, the last portrait i tried really hard to add some other colors. iv been checking out CA quite a bit and trying to learn new techniques and stuff...

these last portraits i havent sketched 1 bit. just blocked in colors and worked form there, and my results have been 100% better... when i would sketch prior, my outcome wouldnt resemble my reference. but i find blocking in much easier to start out with and throwing out different tones

i might come of as a retard but did you try throwing up tones over the sketch? or by doing that the resemblance was lost?

a good technique i learned, is find a nice picture etc NOT your reference and filter > pixelate > mosaic tiles, and do fairly large tiles, and that helps to create a nice side palette for any piece if you really want to practice colors

my sketches just werent that strong.... and if my sketch was weak, i would continue from the sketch and it would just go downhill from there o_o

yeah, good for practice but that's it. Try relaying to this as less as possible over time, use your eyes for that.

E after uncles edit:
try just making dots where eyes, nose or whatever part of the face you have problems with should be, and paint over them. use only guides and nothing more ;)
