pastry base in a dish (half butter to flour, usually about half white flour, half wholemeal flour for me, adds nice flakyish texture)
lobb in some porridge, about a centemetre to 1.5 deep
whack in a load of golden syrup, until it coveres the porridge
whack it in the oven till it all sinks in and like goes golden brown
whack it out.
