Have you followed up and clarified what "fresh" means to him?

I like futura, but i feel like it's inappropriate for a >builds modular homes< Company
the red's cool, but the white is overpowering. Have you tried something more vintage, maybe like wooden in nature? (cliches aside)

like almost a dirty, wooden look to it
Try fixing the typo. Rather than centered, align it to the side closer to the road/highway where cars drive by. Most things are analyzed from left to right, so keep that in mind with the size of the text too
Does the board have the be in the shape of a house? Looks so tacky to me

font in mind:

yea its fixed.

just for ease of creating this i suggest you oversize your rectangle by a bit and put it under your black boarder layer. so that it wont happen again.

would you change all of the type to geared?

so the white part or white and red part are instead a woody background?

He just wants something clean and nice looking. That will also stick out so people see it.

I believe that is the shape of his sign, so I need to keep it like that.

i think it would look kind of neat to have a wood grain on the red rectangle (of course changing color) make the grain go horizontal.

do you know the quality or how high res the sign will be. also making something more complicated like wood grain may increase the cost for printing ( i would imagine mroe colors longer time to print etc)

if the sign isnt going to be big/close enough to the viewer then having details might not benefit them anyways.

Alright guys... writing the invoice for this...

does 200$ total seem fair for logo design + the sign design?

seems a little low to be honest.

How many hours did you put into it? For consultation work you can charge 25-45 an hour depending on what you feel your skill level is or you can go an estimate approach.

Even by a low estimation cost I would charge 250 for each.

that is lower than average so I wouldn't be too worried
