I'm waiting on a kit to come in the mail to me as I found out it would be cheaper for me to buy the gun and supplies than to go to a shop and get a tattoo

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT!! tattoo yourself, especially with a gun from a kit!! They usually suck >.<
you will just scar yourself up. It's really really hard to make a straight line while your stabbing yourself with a needle a billion times.
on contrary to what people may tell you, tattooing hurts. Alot.
i have some experience with tattooing, not good enough to get paid for it.

This, needles piercing your skin 1000+ times per second sounds painful. Watch a few episodes of Miami ink where they're training in the new artists, their lines are shite...

I would guess not to hard, but would be painful as fuck!
also, it would fade MUCH faster then a normal tattoo.

It takes real precision to get a QR code that words as a tattoo, I've seen some that don't scan.
