you went apeshit with softbrushing

e: and you also went apeshit with what looks like either textures or splatter brushes, as well as some mediocre fractals

make me a tag

e2: i have made tags with 5 layers and some with 120, the number of layers doesn't matter - it depends on what you change or add with each layer.

You have a gallery I can check out for inspiration?

Too large in mine?

not really, just notice the vast difference in contrast between the render and the background? you want to blend the colors a little better, and learn to brush/erase bits of your render or stock to blend them a little better - TzL's tag has some very great examples of that.

also, work on composing within the tag, instead of putting c4d's and shit at random, try to use them to "frame" your focal and create depth, and excuses to add lighting.

c4d spamming only becomes interesting when you're blane, and he makes his own c4d's and then paints over them to give them that real cool look.

the daft punk tag at the top of that tagwall is his, and it shows what i mean.

he also once told me that he spends 4 hours on a single tag sometimes

i used a different render for tutorial 1 - the one provided seemed not 'futuristic' enough :P

followed the tut step by step, love my outcome so far, would love to get some cnc in here so I can play around with it

taking some more in-depth looks at it, kinda seems one of the textures I used is a little LQ or something, flat? idk, any help?

Now that you mention it I do notice there's quite a sudden contrast colorwise - I tried to avoid this while working on it but clearly failed :)
About the c4ds, I did try to use them to set a frame to the render, but I'm guessing the effect is lost by the wrong colorsetting.

Your comments are much appreciated in any case :)
