I have not read the book, but my gf has and wanted to go see the movie last saturday.



I thought the movie was alright, but have mixed opinions about how rushed the story felt.
and I also have no idea why this movie and book have been so hyped.

same effing story.

Its not that the effects were just ok, or that the costumes remind me of that (our budget is what it is) that reminded me of the fith element, but less original.

Its that there are HUGE holes on the storys viability... like huge, I get the rules and why the movie story works. and if you told me it was a different planet, with non humans. Id be like oh, ok.
But its not, they are humans. which fucks the whole story from the start.

its pretty crappy yeah.
shoulda watched twilight instead
