And it's people like that that make kids the way they are now days. I got my ass whooped on a daily basis, and I hated it at the time, but I completely understand why now.
I thank my parents for raising me the way they did. And when i have kids, it will be no different.

Same. These helicopter parents and attached parents make me want to vomit on a daily basis. When Cami does something bad, she gets sent to her room. If she keeps it up, she gets her ass spanked.

Now, one thing I wont do is use anything but my hand. I still remember the sound of a belt cracking when I was little, no thanks.

I see that argument all the time.

If someones kid has a low iq, maybe its just because the kid has a low iq, There are too many factors for it to just be blamed on spanking.

E: And seriously, every kid from 2000 and before would have low iq's, I never heard any of this no spanking junk when I was a kid.

Now its all dont spank, dont give them any processed foods, make sure theyre rear facing until theyre ready to get a license, blah blah blah.

I personally don't see any positive points to spanking. There's never a reason to hit your child.

No they really are the same. Location and a little less force doesn't mean it isn't still hitting.
