Watched iron man
Loved it
Bummed on how they didn't stick straight from comic books

Was major cringe in some parts.
Not enough action either, was falling asleep.

Can someone here explain to me how to add a layer mask in gimp? I want to make it so an image fits into a shape but I don't think I'm even approaching it correctly. I know you all have photoshop so you're probably not familiar with gimp but I would really appreciate it.

I have the image on the top layer, and then the shape on the bottom, and I guess I don't know where to go from there.

There is an "add layer mask" option that gives me a few options to choose from, but I don't know what the correct one would be. I have actually tried all of them but I don't think im doing it correctly. This is actually the tutorial im attempting to recreate http://imageshack.us/a/img818/816/tut2copy.jpg

also, photoshop cs2 is now legally free, so i'd consider upgrading to improve your quality of life.
