Mind learns images and forms, but brain gives them their own twist. For example it is not a must that two artist will perceive same object or w/e in a same way. There are feelings, mood and everything else that he saw or learned in the past of his life, and that will probably somehow leave it's own print in a piece. I have greater respect for the artists that draw without reference, and you are a complete retard to say you "copy" it from your brain. Ctrl+c ctrl+v doesn't work, my work would kick ass if i could simply do that. Another thing tho, have you never opened canvas (or watched an artist do that), doodled something and went from there? Just simply throwing random shapes and colors on the canvas. Even you don't know what you are going to draw until you see some kind of shape or something that COULD be something and work from there. You don't simply copy the idea, it's like clay it forms as you shape it on canvas. I am assuming you don't truly understand digital art, try knitting instead. Anyway, open a new topic if you wish to discuss this.
heh, true that.
thou not only digital art but all kinds of art - drawing from reference or mind doesn't make a difference in value of peice but doing the same thing without any other help than your own mind requires more practice, knowledge and abstract thinking, logical sense.
maybe i was a little too rude but this was seriously completely uncalled and stupid post - why would anyone even bring that out? it's not like timothy were bragging that he do it from mind and every other faggot who don't, suck dicks. I just don't understand.
e: also to OP, whoever it was - not all artists use references. some people have eye for proportions and logics to put them right. anyway. pretty pointless to reply to this, you're just a regular troll. (PS! It's not directed to Slunko)
