Didn't watch ghost in the shell yet so i cant say. When i watched this anime a lot of personal questions popped in my mind that needed solving. Imho thats n1. By story and intermissions it certainly is different than other animes that i've watched, so it can be either liked or hated, nothing in between. Oh and proxies look absolutely awesome.
