omg that render is giving me flashbacks, its been so long.
too chaotic, focal isnt clear either

keep in mind less can be more don't spam effect try to position them for flow and don't go overboard

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm gonna hold off on tuts for now since most exactly just say, "spam those effects/textures".
I'll just focus on building the flow

Definitely work on finding the natural flow of your render. That last one has some nice flow through the arm, but you used different angles and a fading perspective type of flow, which would be fine, if the fading point lined up with the flow of the arm, the natural flow of the render used.

But again like everyone else has said, ease of on the effects. effects are the same as type, if it doesn't add anything to the sig, chances are it is taking away.

background is texture overload, chaotic, there are some ugly colors in there, and then it looks like the render is kinda pasted on at the end.

in other words, newp :\
