It's just really messy. Also, you have a habit it seems of having a lot of junk on top of the render/focal and sometimes it kind-of makes it look cluttered or trashy. Just my opinion idk;

the pink one isnt bad.
I would stray away from white lightsources unless its for something specific.
Try working on lighting, shadows, depth, and general composition.
Also, Remember to keep  quality up!

Thank you both. So less effects and stuff on focals, no more white light sources, and a thought out composition. I don't really know what to do with depth.. I don't think more blur is what you meant ^_^

I hate it when it takes forever to make it, but still doesn't look good ._. just posting this as a sign that some tuts would be appreciated. No more good ideas from tutorials, and my designs just don't work :lol:

Back to the sig, it looks clustered to me. I really don't know ^^ Can't put a finger on it, but... yeah

Oh, lowered saturation on the bg, and remembered some stuff from elementary school, so I applied a cooling filter on those trees back there and the far away part of the background. Just stuff I remembered that could help depth.
Again: tuts or some good inspirational sigs that could help me would be appreciated :)

Honestly, having an anime render on a stock photo of a real environment looks really weird. Clouds and abstract stuff, okay I can get, but not what you've most recently used as backgrounds.

Oh, thanks! Never really thought of that. Never put any thought into render - bg relation. Found a nice site, tho. If anyone's interested ( http://www.sigtutorials.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php?t7438.html ), I think it will help me quite a bit ^^ Inspiraton wise.

While some of these are odd, most of these tutorials will help you greatly if you pick up techniques from them.

My thoughts exactly. Some of them are pretty amazing. And with gdgc's premades, I think I'll have enough material for now ^^

Playing with c4d and blending modes ^^ also rediscovered textures ;o oh, and tried some "erasive blending" ? it didn't look like I expected, but it seems to work with the style..

Okay, tried more colours, so it won't be so dull. Don't if the border fits, so I posted both versions. If someone has any tips or tutorials on borders, I could use them :) Not how to make borders and different styles of borders, but when to use them and how. Thanks

/e oversharpened perhaps?
