I really like the wood stakes. If you could fashion the tabletop with a good locking mechanism, an easy to assemble and disassemble table would be really cool.
Anyone who lives in an apartment would eat this stuff up.
Hard to tell from the pictures, what kind of wood is that?

I should be finishing this up by wedsday, and I'll have nice finish pictures for it.

I have no idea how to price this stuff.

the wood, the time. Say you spend 15 total hours on it, @ 15$ an hour, thats $225.
Black walnut is stupid expensive. And the price varies on the quality. That walnut is very consistent, and has wonderful grain.
In texas, probably around 350-400 bucks for such a piece. Yankee prices are higher of course. :P

consider, a studio apartment here is $400 a month. I think you leave near newyork? where they can be more than $2000
Texas is like a different country.

while your ideas are pretty creative, and your work is pretty good. Your still new at this. This would not take me 40 hours.
This is a cool design, and I think it would sell well. If you were to make this again, you would do a better job, and it wouldn't take nearly as long.
There is an art to carpentry. But for most its just furniture, not art.

true, I'm sure I could get this down to 15 hours if I were to make it a few times. but for me its all new, I really am just learning as I go.

I mean, this was the first time Ive ever used chisels. and it got easier every time.

I really like to make art, I hate furniture that is just furniture. It bothers me.

I really want to start experimenting on how to make furniture like this guy makes clocks.
