So basically like I said you can't be half of something, you either are or you aren't and in this case you are not *Half Puerto Rican* you are Hispanic. If one of your parents is oriental of some sort you would be Oriental-Hispanic American. Or in that case just Hispanic would be the best thing to say if you ever heard Chinese or Japanese people talk some of the words are the same. So if you already know one of the spanish languages cause there is many types out there it would be easy for you to learn something Oriental over someone whos plain American with no real lineage. And one last thing it would not be disrespectful to claim/cling to one of your lineages since in this example you would be American it would not mean disrespect to any of your parents sides of your family. Or if you were born where one of your birth parents were born and the other is from another country it wouldn't be disrespectful to clain/cling to your birth place over your other parents making you have to say you're *half* of one thing and *half* of another. You and everyone else that goes around saying they're half Japanese half Puerto Rican or what ever else just makes you sound extremely retarded. *Oh my mother was born in Russia but my father is American and I was born in America so I guess I'm half Russian -insert retarded laugh here-* You weren't born in that country so you cannot call your self something a born citizen would call themselves unless you are living there now but born in America. You would get your citizenship changed from America to Russia making you Russian Citizen but born American but correct term would be *I'm American* if someone asked simply because you weren't born in the country.

Take the time and read this to educate your. self. I know my grammar is far from perfect but I try to make sense and learn like you should learn this. This isn't something you can always learn in school I guess since alot of idiots are going around claiming to be half this half that. So take advantage of this and I hope you took the time to appreciate my explanation to better educate you.
