What to do you mean? Stain? please don't stain it o _o

e/ the cracks in the legs are really throwing me off to be honest.

don't use anything oil based. You don't want it to turn yellow.
Polyurethane with a sponge brush.
semi-gloss would probably be nice. I would say satin, but the filler in the inlays would show up really bad.

I don't like them at all >.<
