Learn to lathe then or a cnc machine. I just got a new JET JWL wood lathe and I am dying to try it out. But I guess cast iron would work as well.
Oh and if you are going for exotic wood and you aren't needing a color match try out black and white ebony. It is out of Laos and a little more expensive. I made a glider for an older couple out of it and I beat myself every day for not talking a picture before I mailed it off. It was beautifully quarter sawed wood. A dark black with very light almost white pine colored natural swirls to it.
