Thats silly imo. If people never voiced their opinions no one would ever learn anything and people would just keep repeating the same mistakes. Ive had my mind changed on quite a few subjects just by talking/debating with people.


now i ll sound like a dick but reading is a great way of expanding your view on different matters, and you also learn a lot :P
And although learning from your mistakes is cruel and harsh, it's the most efficient way of learning, you can also have someone experimenting on you by pavlov reflex or some other method :D

Don't get me wrong, I am all about debating, as long as your interlocutor knows about the topic and is able to discuss it with you in-depth. =)

Reading is all well and good, but its always good to hear someone elses point of view. People have a way of making you look at things differently, especially if theyve experienced it. Anyone can write a page up full of facts, doesnt mean theyve experienced firsthand what theyre writing about.

And I read quite a bit, fyi.
