Can anyone (i.e. Flora) give me advice on a sander? I want to upcycle our old entertainment center into a kind of fort for the kids. Nothing really expensive.

Nothing huge. I just had to hand sand a chair not too long ago and it was pretty difficult, mainly I want something comfortable to hold.

6" palm sander IMO but tbh you shouldn't be sanding down a already finished chair and if you are should clamp it down while doing it.

I have seen 4" palm sanders but I never saw them to be effecient

It was finished, and it doesnt matter anyway. After I sanded it I painted it then sanded it again to give it a distressed look, I use this sort of stuff for photo props.
