It looks to me that he isn't ignoring you, you simply haven't said one thing of worth towards the arguement.
I don't see how it's a "joke", loads of beginners are improving tons. If you really didn't care so much about it you wouldn't be making such a fuss over it.
From someone standing outside the contest it's CLEAR who has "won", regardless of whether it matters or anything. Regarding using the use of pm Skype and msn etc as the main use of communication, what did you think would happen? That's all behind the scenes where no one but you can see it. I even said it to you on the first page of your thread but you ignored it.
If I share the opinion of somebody else, I quote it.
The first of the quotes you've provided already says more than everything else that has been said here.
Nero started a tournament with good intentions, but half way through the tournament he changes and ruins everything.
He, for no reason, decided to cancel the tournament to give Odin all the fg. -- What the f*ck?
It has been a success for the students in terms of learning indeed, but what about the tournament part?
Perhaps check the topic title once again: "Mentor-beginner
Tournament Sign Up"

Since you love quotes so much, I'll quote a part of the nero's post for you:

The idea here is that the more experienced among us will coach newbs on a personal and private level to create some sort of actual learning process.
Is a topic personal and private? No.
Is msn/pm/skype etc private? Yes.
Aside from that it has never been said that the "Mentors" will be judged.
It was said that the results of the students will be judged.
Another quote of the first post to prove it:

I'll get some friends from another forum to help me judge the results, so there is no bias with regard to internet favoritism as far as votes go.
