if i go to NEW, there is a rgb colors tab

whats the diff between 8 and 16?

also resolution

it was origionally 72, but what happens if i bump it to 800?

your canvas will be huge, and printing will be higher quality (depending on your printer) (200-300 dpi is the general for printing, 72 for web)

you cannot bump a 72 dpi image up to 800 dpi without losing insane amounts of quality.
you actually cannot bump it up at all without losing quality.

dpi = dots per inch / pixels per inch
