Strato, now you are not making sense, first you are angry because people here have been doing the same tut things over and over again, and nothing ever changes. Than you expect them (us) to make something 100% for ourselves off the bat.


I remember back in the days when you yelled at me i should stick to the tuts (which was done with good intention, and proper). But i do understand what you are trying to say: "People get too dependent on tutorials and end up getting stuck in the "safe zone"."

In my opinion it is changing-not on the gfx field, but digipainting. If i post, i post so people can see my progress and what i am doing, or for criticism.



Oh and again, if i see a guy start out, and asking for advice i'll give advice & still direct them to tutorials. Best way is still to cover the basics and than go to the freedom zone.

I'm not really talking about tutorials to be honest. I think it's more of a mentality, or a ''way of making a signature'' that's proper to this place. What I mean is that, there is very little place for experimentation and going outside the box because people have been whoring the same style for the last 5 years. Whenever you try something different, you get shat on by the entire section with no proper criticism.


And I seriously doubt that I ever told you that. Yes, tutorials are good when you start but I never yelled and acted like a dick with the new kids unless they really deserved it.
