Tl:dr version: I'm in a senior design class and we are having a high ranking professor come in and she will rank us on our appearance as if we were in an interview.
So I have a few questions:
1. Is a suit a must? or will a dress shirt + slacks + tie work? if shirt is fine, what color combo ?
2. Are black dress shoes a must? Or are other non leather dressy shoes suitable?
3. If shirt is ok, must it be rolled down to wrist, or is it ok to have it rolled up close to elbows?
4. watch is a must, my question is leather wristband or metal?
4. belt style?
5. Pants: Khaki or Black ?
i worked for the human resources quite a while so i will tell you what i wanted to see and how i feel about it
1. a suit is nice and shit but youre not better than me (yet?) or even at my level so dont dress like me or i wont like you from first sight
2. idc for your fucking shoes, they should be clean or even look new tho. wear some that fit your outfit.
3. as long as you dont have any tattoos to hide wear it like you always would, this is not carnival. show yourself the way you are.
4. watch is not a must and i personally think its a 5k one or nothing and if you have the money to pay for a 5k watch i dont like you because you are better than me. dont wear a watch imo.
4b. leather belt usually looks best on a jeans but anyways just dont use a cord
5. wtf? wear jeans. none of those washed out shitty fake ripped jeans. a normal pair of jeans.
the style i would aim for:
maybe! a jacket in black or a nice v cut pullover where the top of the shirt can look through, a white shirt, jeans, leather belt in black or dark brown, some clean! shoes in black or white
