Tl:dr version: I'm in a senior design class and we are having a high ranking professor come in and she will rank us on our appearance as if we were in an interview.

So I have a few questions:

1. Is a suit a must? or will a dress shirt + slacks + tie work? if shirt is fine, what color combo ?

2. Are black dress shoes a must? Or are other non leather dressy shoes suitable?

3. If shirt is ok, must it be rolled down to wrist, or is it ok to have it rolled up close to elbows?

4. watch is a must, my question is leather wristband or metal?

5. Pants: Khaki or Black ?

Make sure everything is clean and/or new, it shows you care, also be well groomed.

1. No, and ties are for formal event, an interview is not a formal event, it's getting to know someone, having a chat and selling yourself.
2. No, wear dress shoes if you want, a tidy pair of sneakers are good too, If i was hiring someone, both would do.
3. Both work.
4. Depending on what your style is, you're a designer, all of your shit should match (or clash to match)
5. Simple, classy & succinct, matching your outfit also
6. Khaki? really what are you in the army? wear a nice jean that contrasts with your shirt.

in all honesty, dress nice like you are going out to find some ladies, and feel comfortable and confident.
